Rendering hunting and fishing regulations as open data.
States regulate hunting and fishing—by species, subspecies, method, locality, season, time of day etc.—and the web of requirements can be dizzying. The Roosevelt schema allows all of these regulations to be encoded in a simple JSON format. This means that a lightweight client can make these regulations easier for people to understand, answering questions like “can I hunt rabbits within an hour of my home this Saturday?” and “what’s the best place to catch large-mouth bass that has a boat launch?”
